Poetry in the Park

Inspired by the numerous grassroots programs around the country promoting recreational poetry, K-bao rattled off her own interpretation of several old Tang Shi pieces while enjoying the fine weather at her neighborhood park. Unclear whether marching round and round little C-bao was meant to be her way of encircling her sister with affectionate rhythms, or an effort to establish literary dominance over her 1-year-old sibling.

Depot

Here is K-bao being silly while helping K-Pop with some errands at the Home Depot.

K-bao is into nature and greenery, and while browsing the plants section K-Pop was almost strong-armed into buying a pot of flowers. The only thing that saved him was the fact that K-bao couldn't make up her mind which petal was the prettiest. As soon as she spotted one colorful set of flowers, another bunch would catch her eye. "Oh! Maybe that one!" she would say while still hovering over the first one, resulting in her flitting from flower to flower like a little honeybee.

唐詩六首

K-bao has been in the midst of a literary kick recently, thanks in part to Auntie Katie.

Here she gives a dramatic performance of six recently learned Tang Shi (poems from the Tang Dynasty), starting with Li Bai's famous "Contemplating Moonlight."

Castle

After tinkering around half-heartedly with her Magna-Tiles - a 95% gross margin product - for most of the time since K-Mum purchased the product last year, K-bao has settled down recently to some more serious architectural pursuits. She can now sit quietly in her room for thirty-plus minutes (Ah...peace & quiet...all in the name of education, of course) while working on more intricate designs, generally involving creating living quarters for her dolls.

Below she ropes K-Grandpops into working with her on constructing a mini-castle for her princesses. The long-suffering K-Grandpops obligingly got down on his hands and knees and assisted (read: took direction from) her in putting together the below structure.

Grandfolks Fang

Hooray! The K-grandfolks are in town. Here she is getting a squeeze from K-grandmum. As K-bao knew full well from an early age, she'll be hard pressed to find anyone who loves her with more grace and patience.

Here, she learns advanced cooking and kneading skills from a master chef.

#TimeFlies

January 1, 2021! How time flies. K-bao's growth from a spunky little kid to a rambunctious tween is one of the most tangible markers of ...
